Synopsis

Loveable underdog IAN (Josh Zuckerman) is the last American virgin. At least that's how it feels to him now that he's 18, about to go to college, and losing girls to his 14-year-old brother. Ian's always been the nice guy, the best friend... never the boyfriend. But his luck finally seems to be changing when he meets DANIELLE. She's everything he's ever wanted in a girlfriend — fun, sexy, and she really likes him. There's just one problem. She lives in Knoxville. And he lives in Chicago. And she thinks he's the Brad Pitt lookalike he's pretending to be on Facebook. At the urging of his best friend, LANCE (Clark Duke), Ian decides to confront his fear of rejection when Danielle makes him the offer of a lifetime: "If you drive all the way for me, I'll go all the way for you."

In the spirit of such classics as AMERICAN PIE, THE SURE THING and SUPERBAD, this wild romp follows Ian, Lance and their third musketeer, the spunky and gorgeous tomboy, FELICIA (Amanda Crew), as they set out in Ian's older brother's beloved '69 GTO. Despite many hilarious setbacks on the road, including a stop-off at an Amish rave (who knew the Amish could party?), Ian finally meets his dream girl...; but things don't turn out quite as planned. Along the way, Ian discovers that while he's prepared to go the distance for sex, there might be something even better a little closer to home.

"...The nudity made me a little nervous; I’m not gonna lie. The first day it was pretty brutal. I might have pounded a few drinks that morning just to kill the shakes, you know [laughs]. But honestly, a couple hours into it, it was like, “Who gives a shit?” There was nothing I could do to embarrass myself in front of the crew at that point. The nudity was a little nerve-wracking at first..."

Clark Duke in Sex Drive

Aced Magazine has caught up with Clark Duke on his latest role in 'Sex Drive'. Duke plays the role of Lance alongside Josh Zuckerman as Ian. The pair embark on a journey with Felicia (Amanda Crew) to confront Ian's fear of rejection and lose his virginity. Duke talks about how similar he is to he role, how he landed the part, and what's next for the actor. 'Sex Drive' is out in theaters.

"...Yeah, I am like the kid in the movie. It is more or less me. It is exaggerated a little bit, but it is pretty close to my personality I’d say..."

Artist Direct has sat down with the cast of 'Sex Drive' which includes conversations with James Marsden, Josh Zuckerman, Amanda Crew and director Sean Anders, and producer and co-writer John Morris. The cast are asked what made them want to do the film, the infamous donut costume, hanging out and their own experiences with road trips. 'Sex Drive' is out in theaters.

"...My wife read the script before I did. I was watching T.V. and I couldn’t watch what I was watching because she kept laughing as she was reading it. I’m like, “What are you reading?” She [said], “I’m reading that movie, Sex Drive and it’s really funny and it’s really written well.” I said, “What’s the character like?” She’s like, “Just an asshole older brother, but I think you’d actually be really funny in it"..."

Crew also shares she found the film's genre demanding despite it being targeted for mainstream tastes. 'Sex Drive' also stars Josh Zuckerman, Clark Duke, James Marsden and Seth Green. 'Sex Drive' is out in theaters.

"...So often, especially in comedies, the girl in the story is always just a pretty girl-next-door whose job in the movie is for the guy to like her. I love the fact that this character was a leading girl, but she has substance to her...'
